Greve in Chianti is a medieval town about 30 minutes away from Florence by car. For many centuries its particular triangular-shaped square has been used as a weekly market place (Greve is very famous for its butchers) and for the renowned antique fair.
Chianti countryside is a very fascinating area, made up of beautiful vineyards, olive groves, woods and dotted with many small medieval villages and noble villas.

Other absolutely worth-seeing places nearby are Panzano, Montefioralle and Lamole: small villages where you can still see children playing on the street and you can smell the special smell of home made recipes.
